Ageya (pronounced uh guy’ uh) Wilderness Center, is a unique facility situated on 34.7 acres at the top of East Hill, overlooking the city of Homer Alaska. The facility is only three miles or about a quick ten-minute drive from downtown Homer. The property offers abundant breathtaking, and inspiring views of Kachemak Bay, the Grewingk Glacier, and the Kenai Mountains.
Ageya supports adventure-based educational programs extending out into a variety of wilderness settings based from its 34.7-acre site in Homer, Alaska. Ageya also hosts retreats and events on-site for groups ranging between 20 and 125 people. A variety of wildlife inhabits the area around the property, where visitors routinely see moose, cranes and have occasionally seen bear, lynx, coyotes and often hear wolves howling during the night hours. With Ageya’s connections with the nearby Wynn Nature, that includes 140 acres of land set aside as a wildlife refuge, five miles of nature trails and environmental education programs, bird viewing, plant studies, and many educational programs are at your fingertips.
Our Mission is to provide programs and experiences that excite and inspire through the vehicle of the natural world. The Ageya facility is available year round for your corporate retreat, group event, school educational outing, or other special events.
